California Multi-Vehicle Accidents
We wish a full and speedy recovery to any parties that were injured in the accident.
Multi-vehicle collisions or “pile-ups” can be tricky accidents when it comes to determining which driver was at fault. As a result, these cases are often very complex. People involved in these types of accidents may have difficulty in removing themselves from their vehicles as well as from the scene of the accident due to being blocked in by other disabled vehicles making the crash site extremely dangerous. It is also not uncommon for a single vehicle to be struck more than once. Accurately determining fault in this type of incident will most likely necessitate the assistance of an attorney. A qualified lawyer will be in the best position to obtain copies of the police reports, driver’s statements, witness statement, and deal with any claims from the insurance companies that are involved. They are also able to investigate the accident site themselves, as well as speak with the other people involved. This is especially useful since it is likely that everyone interviewed will have a different perspective on what actually happened. Sometimes the finding in these accidents is that more than one driver is at fault. Being found even partially at fault can severely affect any claims a motorist might try to make involving things like personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death.
