Monrovia, CA – Toddler Dies in Vehicle Wreck at Duarte Rd & Fifth Ave
Monrovia, CA (September 9, 2023) – A toddler was killed Saturday after a car crash and fire in Monrovia.
As reported by the Monrovia Police Department, the collision happened near the corner of Duarte Road and Fifth Avenue at 7:35 p.m. on a Friday.
According to the police, the fire department extinguished the blaze and provided medical care to those involved, including the child.
Police stated that all victims were transferred to the Los Angeles County General Hospital.
Monrovia police said the child later succumbed to their injuries.
The initial on-scene investigation did not reveal what led to the accident, though the inquiry is active and ongoing in the interim.
