Yuba County, CA: Pilot Injured in Small Plane Crash
Yuba County, California (March 18, 2018): The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transporation Safety Board are conducting an active and ongoing investigation into a small plane crash in Yuba County this morning, Sunday, March 18, 2018. The pilot, Timothy Bennet, was the sole occupant of the plane and reportedly sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision.
Based on the preliminary investigation, officials believe the collision happened around 9:00 a.m. when the plane hit a power line and crashed into the Yuba River Daguerre Point Dam. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene to transport the victim to a nearby hospital. Investigators are continuing to gather information about the crash and no further details have been provided at this time.
