Yuba City, CA – 2 Seriously Injured in Accident on Highway 99
Yuba City, CA (September 4, 2018) – An accident in Yuba City left two people seriously injured on Highway 99. They were identified as Ismail Bath and Mohinder Reehal, both of which were hospitalized.
The accident killed one person and left two others with serious injuries on Sunday afternoon in the area of O’Banion Road. It happened around 2:30 p.m., according to police.
At the time, an 80-year-old man from Roseville was driving a Toyota Avalon when he entered Highway 99 and failed to yield to oncoming traffic. At the same time, a 2010 Civic being driven by Bath was in the slow lane and veered to the left so that he could avoid the crash. However, he wasn’t able to do so and their vehicles collided.
Bath and Reehal were both taken to the hospital in serious condition. The elderly motorist died at the scene of the accident. All three parties had their seatbelts at the time.
