Williams, CA – Major Accident on Hwy 20
Williams, CA (January 06, 2019) – A major injury accident took place on Sunday, December 5th along Highway 20.
The collision occurred at around 5:50 p.m. when a fully loaded flatbed trailer flipped over after it collided with a van near the intersection for State Route 16.
The flatbed, which was transporting wood, ended up in a ditch roughly 40 feet off the with its bed completely crushed. Following the collision, plumes of smoke were seen coming from the van and wreckage was reported scattered all over the highway. The accident caused the blockage of both the westbound and eastbound lanes of Highway 20.
Paramedics were dispatched to the crash site to provide life-saving medical attention to the victims, one of whom was seriously injured.
