Vista, CA – Truck Accident Involving Motor Vehicle on State Route 78
Vista, CA (April 4, 2019) – Around 5:34 a.m., a truck accident took place between a big rig and a motor vehicle on State Route 78. The vehicle ended up in a ditch following the crash.
Police say that the accident took place early this morning in the area of Vista Village Drive. The California Highway Patrol was immediately contacted about the accident to investigate.
The vehicle was thrown off the side of the road following the collision, which caused it to go down around 30-40 feet into a river bed. A tow truck was called to the scene to pull out the vehicle.
Paramedics responded to the crash, where they helped the driver who sustained a variety of injuries. The identity of the driver is not known at this time and police continue to investigate the cause and liability.
