Ventura County, CA: Car Crashes into Costco Store in Oxnard
Ventura County, California (March 20, 2018): At least six people were reportedly injured after a car crashed into a Costco store on Ventura Boulevard in Oxnard, CA, late yesterday morning, Monday, March 19, 2018. Authorities have launched an active investigation into the incident and only limited details have been released to the public while the investigation remains open.
Officials believe the accident happened around 11:30 a.m. when an 86-year-old man was attempting to park his car, a 1986 Buick Regal, and accidentally moved in reverse, striking six people near the entrance of the Costco. Emergency responders were immediately dispatched to the scene on the 2000 block of Ventura Boulevard. While authorities have not released any information regarding the severity of the injuries involved, at least two of the victims were reportedly transported from the scene to be treated at a nearby hospital. No additional information has been made available at this time.
