DUI In California
The legal blood alcohol limit in Califonia is .08% for passenger vehicles, and .04% for commercial vehicles. IN 2013, the state had a total of 162,199 car accidents that resulted in either felony or misdemeanor DUI charges for at least one of the drivers involved. Of those alcohol-involved accidents, 1,643 resulted in fatalities and 27,921 injuries to those involved.
