Van Nuys, CA – LA DOT Officer Dies After Being Struck on Victory Boulevard

Van Nuys, CA (July 28, 2018) – An on-duty Los Angeles Department of Transportation Officer died after being struck Friday morning while walking along Victory Boulevard.  Police report that the Officer was hit around 7:20 am.  The crash occurred in the 15200 block of the roadway.

It is not clear what the traffic officer was doing just before he was struck, however, officials report that he was outside his vehicle.  It appears as though there were at least two vehicles involved in the crash, with one of them striking the officer.  Following the crash, the officer was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Police have not released the officer’s name while his family is notified of his death.  This crash remains under investigation by local police.
