Vallejo, CA – 70-Year-Old Killed in Fatal Two-Vehicle Collision
Vallejo, CA (February 11, 2019) – Police reported that a 70-year-old man from Vallejo was killed in a fatal two-vehicle collision that took place on Sonoma Boulevard. The accident was reported to police around 8:13 p.m.
Two vehicles collided in the southbound lanes of the roadway, which were identified as a white Saturn and a Dodge Durango truck. The Saturn had been heading northbound when it suddenly crossed over the center line and ran into the path of the Durango, which was headed south.
Paramedics were called to the scene and rushed the driver of the Saturn to a local area hospital but he, unfortunately, passed away due to severe trauma. The 41-year-old who had been driving the Durango suffered a variety of injuries but is expected to be okay.
Police are piecing together evidence and have not been able to determine what led to the accident, but the investigation continues at this time.
