Twentynine Palms, CA – Fatal Pedestrian Accident on State Route 62

Twentynine Palms, CA (March 16, 2019) – Police confirmed that 62-year-old Antonio Prada lost his life in a fatal pedestrian accident that took place on SR-62 Tuesday morning.

The crash took place around 5:34 a.m. on Tuesday, east of Encelia Avenue. At the time, Prada was crossing the street when he was struck by an oncoming westbound Impala sedan.

Paramedics say that Prada suffered major injuries and was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene. The woman driving the vehicle that struck him was unharmed but obviously upset about the accident.

Police are still trying to determine fault at this time.
