Sylmar, CA – Victim Hit, Killed By Semi-Truck on 210 Fwy at Polk St

Sylmar, CA (August 17, 2023) – On Thursday, a pedestrian was killed after being hit by a large truck on the Foothill (210) Freeway near Sylmar, resulting in a multi-lane backup.

California Highway Patrol Officer Sean Lough reported that at 3:00 a.m., police were sent to the intersection of westbound 210 and Polk Street, where they located the victim on the roadway.

The victim was pronounced dead at the site of the incident. All lanes of the roadway were shut down for hours while the CHP investigated the crash.
