Sunnyvale, CA – Mark Klein Identified as Pedestrian Killed in Saturday Crash
Sunnyvale, CA (August 8, 2018) – A pedestrian who was killed in a Saturday night crash in Sunnyvale has been identified. Police say that Mark Klein, age 42, was walking along South Pastoria Avenue near Iowa Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle.
When paramedics arrived on scene they were able to locate Klein lying in the roadway. Lifesaving efforts were made but to no avail. Ultimately, Klein succumbed to his injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver remained at the crash site following the collision. By all accounts, the driver cooperated with a police investigation into the accident. At this time it is not clear whether the driver is at fault. Police in Sunnyvale are still looking into the crash to determine a cause.
