Stockton, CA – Officer-Related Motorcycle Crash Leads to Serious Injuries
Stockton, CA (August 29, 2018) – In Stockton, an officer-related motorcycle crash took place at Claremont and Yokuts avenues yesterday morning. An officer was left with serious injuries.
Police said that Stockton Police Officer James Nance was riding on his motorcycle at the same time a Honda SUV was coming from the Yokuts Avenue direction. The officer was conducting distracted driving enforcement and had his lights activated at the time.
The SUV and the motorcycle collided head-on in the intersection around 10:30 a.m. Officer Nance was quickly transported to the hospital and has been listed in stable condition. The Honda involved in the accident suffered heavy damages.
Several blocks of the roadway were closed for almost four hours after the accident took place. At this time, police are still investigating the cause of the incident.
