Stockton, CA – Woman Dies In Hit-and-Run While Putting Gas in Her Car
Stockton, CA (August 18, 2018) – A woman in Stockton died while she was putting gas in her car on Friday morning. The crash occurred just after 1:00 am on the 8th Street off ramp. Police say that a vehicle struck the woman while she was along the side of the road fueling her vehicle.
The vehicle fled the scene after striking the woman. By the time authorities arrived at the crash site, the suspect was no longer on scene. The woman, suffering from critical injuries, was rushed to a hospital where she died.
Police are looking for a Chevy cargo van believed to have damage to its front right lighting assembly and possibly missing a mirror on the right side as well. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
