Stockton, CA – Former Stockton Councilman Arrested for DUI That Resulted In Pedestrian Death
Stockton, CA (November 29, 2018) – At approximately 8:00 on Wednesday night an 82-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a drunk driver near the intersection of Country Club Boulevard and Fontana Avenue. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect, 72-year-old Victor Mow, was arrested at the scene. Mow is a former Vice Mayor and Stockton City Council member. He did remain at the scene of the accident and cooperated fully with local authorities. After suspecting that Mow was under the influence of alcohol, he was arrested and booked into San Joaquin County Jail. Mow is currently the Commissioner for the Port of Stockton. He also spent eight years as the Board of San Joaquin County Supervisor and two years as the Chairman of the Board. He is now facing potential charges of driving under the influence and vehicular manslaughter.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released pending the notification of next of kin.
