Stanislaus County, CA: Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash in Modesto
Stanislaus County, California (February 21, 2018): An elderly man was killed in a terrible two-vehicle collision in Modesto, CA yesterday afternoon, Tuesday, February 20, 2018. Information about the crash remains limited as authorities continue their ongoing investigation.
The crash is reported to have occurred just before 4:00 p.m. near the Amtrak station in Modesto. The driver of a black Saturn sedan, an unidentified 91-year-old man, was attempting to make a left turn from Held Drive onto Briggsmore Avenue when the vehicle was hit by a Ford Escape traveling east on Briggsmore.
The elderly driver of the sedan was killed as a result of the crash. The passengers of the sedan did not report sustaining any injuries. The driver of the Ford Escaped reportedly suffered minor injuries. No other individuals have been identified as being involved in the crash.
