South Sacramento, CA – Woman Struck in Fatal Pedestrian Crash at Intersection
South Sacramento, CA (March 19, 2019) – Police responded to a fatal pedestrian crash that took place at the Stockton Boulevard and Mack Road intersection. The accident took place this morning around 5:00 a.m.
Police say that the unidentified woman had been crossing Stockton Boulevard when a southbound driver suddenly struck her. Police did not say whether or not she was in the crosswalk at the time of the accident.
The woman was immediately transported to a local hospital but she tragically passed away due to her severe injuries. The adult male driver who struck her with his vehicle stayed at the scene of the accident to cooperate with investigators.
Police do not suspect that drugs or alcohol were the cause of the accident. Police continue their investigation of the accident at this time.
