South Los Angeles, CA – Elderly Man Near Death Following Hit & Run on Century Blvd
South Los Angeles, CA (September 11, 2019) – A 65-year-old man is in serious condition after being struck by a hit-and-run driver on Monday, September 9th.
The accident took place at about 10:25 p.m. on Century Boulevard next to Main Street.
The Los Angeles Police Department said a car was driving westbound on Century Boulevard when it struck the man. Instead of stopping to render aid to the injured, elderly man, the driver fled the scene.
The victim was attempting to cross the street using a walker when he was hit.
A statement issued by LAPD said the man has sustained major internal injuries. His condition is listed as critical.
