Southern California Pedestrian Accidents
A pedestrian accident is often a serious event, leading to severe and sometimes fatal injuries. Pedestrians have the right of way at crosswalks and other marked areas. In and around the Los Angeles area, pedestrians are a common sight. Drivers should be aware of the presence of pedestrians at all times in order to avoid a potentially catastrophic result.
In this case, it is not clear what led to the pedestrian collision. California Highway Patrol will examine every angle of the accident in order to determine responsibility. If the pedestrian was not at fault, their family may have a legal claim against the driver.
Not all pedestrian accidents can be avoided. Sometimes, pedestrians themselves are negligent in causing the crash. Only time will tell the true cause of this Sonoma County accident.
