Solano County, CA – Fatal Pedestrian Accident Due to Hit-and-Run Driver
Solano County, CA (February 13, 2019) – Police responded to a fatal pedestrian accident that took place due to a hit-and-run driver in the eastbound lanes of the Interstate Highway 80. California Highway Patrol officials investigated.
The pedestrian who lost his life at the scene of the accident was identified as 34-year-old Matt Yu, who was a missing New York musician. He was killed on Sunday morning when he was struck by a vehicle that then proceeded to flee the scene of the crash.
The vehicle immediately drove away without stopping after striking Yu around 5:10 a.m. just west of Weber Road. Police say that the vehicle and pedestrian collided in the Number 3 lane of the eastbound Highway 80.
Police are searching for witnesses and their investigation continues at this time.
