Shasta County, CA: Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 299
Shasta County, California (February 28, 2018): The California Highway Patrol is conducting an active and ongoing investigation into a two-vehicle collision on Highway 299 in Shasta County early yesterday afternoon, Tuesday, February 27, 2018. Only limited information about the crash has been made available to the public while the investigation remains open.
Authorities believe the accident happened just after 12:00 p.m. when the trailer of one vehicle came loose and collided with another vehicle on Highway 299, slightly west of the Trinity Mountain Road intersection. The total number of individuals involved in the crash is unknown, but at least one person was transported from the accident site to Mercy Medical Center to be treated for injuries sustained in the collision.
