Shasta County, CA: Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Highway 273 in Redding
Shasta County, California (February 21, 2018): Authorities are investigating the pedestrian crash on Highway 273 yesterday night, Tuesday, February 20, 2018, that lead to the death of a young man. The victim, believed to be in his thirties, has not yet been identified and information about the collision remains limited as the investigation continues.
Authorities believe the victim was hit by a car just after 9:00 p.m. as he was attempting to cross the highway. No information about the vehicle or the driver involved in the accident has been made available. Paramedics were dispatched to the scene and attempted to perform life-saving measures on the victim, but their attempts were unsuccessful and the victim was pronounced dead.
