Santa Ynez, CA – 2 Injured in Crash on North Refugio Rd

Santa Ynez, CA (July 2, 2019) – A devastating head-on collision occurred on the 2100 block of North Refugio Road. The crash took place around 7:00 p.m. on July 1^st, within Santa Ynez.

At least two people were injured in the head-on collision and one of the vehicles caught fire as a result of the crash. Firefighters and first responders extinguished the fire and were able to extract one of the drivers trapped within their vehicle.

Fortunately, the Santa Barbara County Fire Department was able to transport one of the victims with minor injuries to the hospital by ground. The second victim, however, was airlifted to Cottage hospital due to their major injuries.

Details, such as the cause of the accident and the names of the victims, are unknown at this time.
