Santa Maria, CA – Pregnant Woman Hit By Car, Injured
Santa Maria, CA (October 17, 2018) – On Tuesday at 5:15 PM Santa Maria police responded to a call of a pregnant woman being struck by a car at the intersection of Morrison Avenue and Thornburg Street. She also had a five-year-old child with her at the time.
The woman, who was approximately six months pregnant, received a head laceration when she was struck by the oncoming vehicle. She was taken to Marian Regional Medical Center for treatment. The head injury is most likely not life-threatening. The five-year-old was also brought in for examination.
The driver of the vehicle did stop and offer assistance to the victim and fully complied with the investigating officers.
