Santa Clartia, CA – Children Suffer Injuries Following DUI Accident
Santa Clarita, CA (September 13, 2018) – In Santa Clarita on September 9, a DUI accident took place on Placerita Canyon Road that left several children injured. The accident happened in the afternoon.
The six children who received injuries were between the ages of 7-12 and they were inside a vehicle being driven by 38-year-old Timothy Atkins. The vehicle approached the intersection where it immediately struck another car.
Emergency crews arrived at the scene of the accident around 4:20 p.m. and rendered aid to the children involved. Luckily, none of them received life-threatening injuries and only one child had to be taken to the hospital.
Atkins was found to be driving under the influence at the time of the accident. He received charges in relation to the incident, but the investigation continues.
