San Ramon, CA – Allan King Jr. Killed in Pedestrian Accident in San Ramon
San Ramon, California (October 24, 2018) – The man who was fatally hit by a vehicle on Tuesday morning in San Ramon has been identified as 37 –year-old Allan King Jr., of Walnut Creek, according to the San Ramon Police Department. The incident transpired at approximately 6:49 am on October 23rd, in the 3200 blocks of Crow Canyon Road at Iron Horse Trail.
According to investigators, 37-year-old King was jogging on the Iron Horse Trail when he was struck by a vehicle. King was heading southbound when he was hit by a small four-door compact sedan traveling east on Crow Canyon Road. The initial reports indicate, the driver of the sedan remained at the scene of the crash and complied with police. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of the accident and transported King to San Ramon Regional Medical Center for more in-depth treatment of the injuries he sustained upon impact. Sadly, King succumbed to his injuries and died at the hospital. San Ramon police have reported that alcohol and drugs did not appear to have played a role in the crash. Investigators are still trying to determine the events leading up to the fatal collision.
