San Rafael, CA – 3 Injured in Crash on Hwy 101
San Rafael, CA (September 21, 2019) – A mother and her two small children were injured in a collision that ended with their SUV catching fire on Highway 101.
Officers from the California Highway Patrol stated that the accident took place around 8:30 in the morning on Highway 101 northbound, right by the exit for Saint Vincent Drive. Police know that two cars were involved, but are still looking into just what caused the collision, and exactly how the SUV involved wound up in an embankment.
Upon arriving at the scene of the accident, officers thought that the three occupants of the SUV, the mom and her 3- and 6-year-olds, had been thrown from the vehicle since all three were on the ground. They now think that a good Samaritan helped to pull them out of the car.
The mother was airlifted to John Muir Trauma Center. Her two children were taken to UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital.
The driver of the other car was unharmed.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their family at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
Highway Accidents in San Rafael
Car accidents make up a substantial percentage of California’s wrongful death and personal injury claims. While a lot of auto accidents do possess similar causative factors, each one also has its own set of unique details. Every car accident should be completely investigated in order to ensure the maximum amount of financial recovery.
The more serious the outcome of the accident, the more likely it is that you will benefit from the advice of a qualified personal injury attorney. Insurers and adjusters will try to take advantage of injured victims who do not have legal representation. Insurance companies are not in the habit of protecting your best interests. They are, however, in the habit of protecting their profit margins. It is rare that the victim of a catastrophic car accident will truly benefit in any claim without first consulting with an attorney.
