San Marcos, CA – Pedestrian Accident on Nordahl Rd and State Route 78

San Marcos, CA (July 17, 2019) – A tragic pedestrian accident involving a man in a wheelchair took place Tuesday afternoon. The devastating accident happened at 4:40 p.m. on Nordahl Road and State Route 78.

Reports claim that the man in a wheelchair rolled off the sidewalk into Nordahl Road and was struck by a vehicle that was turning right onto the State Route 78 onramp. The victim was promptly taken to a hospital for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Deputies claim that the pedestrian may have been intoxicated during the accident. The female driver remained at the scene of the crime to assist investigators.
