San Marcos, CA (April 19, 2019) – 61-year-old Helen Gomez was killed in a hit-and-run on Smilax Road in San Marcos. The crash happened on April 15^th.

Reports claim that Helen Gomez was walking her dog when she struck by a car that immediately left the scene. Helen Gomez was rushed to Palomar Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Authorities are currently searching for the driver who is believed to be driving a silver car with a damaged front bumper, grill, and hood.
