San Jose, CA – Woman Struck in Pedestrian Accident at Airport Passes Away
San Jose, CA (March 3, 2019) – On Monday, police reported that an elderly woman lost her life after a serious pedestrian accident at Mineta San Jose International Airport.
The accident took place around 1:10 p.m. when the 62-year-old woman, whose name has not yet been released, had been in the area of Terminal B parking and pushing a luggage cart when she was suddenly struck by a 2018 Ford F-150. The vehicle had just gone through the entrance when it struck her.
The woman was rushed to the hospital but, while there, she succumbed to her injuries. Once her next-of-kin is notified, police say that they will release her name.
Meanwhile, the 29-year-old man who struck her stayed at the scene of the accident to cooperate with the investigation, which still continues at this time.
