San Jose, CA – Child-Related Bicycle Accident Ends in Injuries
San Jose, CA (September 4, 2018) – A child-related bicycle accident ended in injuries when a vehicle struck 2 juveniles in a hit-and-run. The incident took place yesterday around 3:00 p.m.
Police responded to the area of Cottle Road and El Molino Way. They found that a 12-year-old girl and 13-year-old boy had been riding their bicycles on the sidewalk in the area when a vehicle heading west on El Molino suddenly struck them.
The car was described as a newer Honda Civic, which had driven through a stop sign and was trying to turn right when the driver struck the two. The driver stopped to speak with the children but then finally fled off of Cottle Road when police investigated.
Now, police are searching for more information on the driver.
