Southern California Car Accidents
We are saddened to hear of this fatal accident in San Jose.
Many car accidents are preventable. The majority of accidents occur due to drivers failing to follow the rules of the road and take basic safety precautions. Things such as stopping at all stop lights and stop signs, not texting while driving and paying attention to all cars around you can result in much safer roadways for everyone.
Unfortunately, many drivers act very carelessly and recklessly on the roads of Southern California. This accident is an example of that behavior. If Daniel Tapia indeed attempted a U-turn across two lanes of traffic then his actions were unquestionably negligent. In this case, the negligence had very tragic consequences.
The family of the deceased motorcyclist will now have the right to bring a wrongful death claim against Tapia for his actions on Tuesday.
