San Joaquin County, CA: Pedestrian Killed in Stockton Hit-and-Run Crash

San Joaquin County, CA (March 12, 2018): Authorities have launched an active and ongoing investigation into a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run crash in Stockton, CA, on Saturday evening, March 10, 2018. The victim has been identified as 66-year-old Jesus Madrid, but few other details have been released while the investigation remains open.

Officials believed Madrid was walking in the roadway near the intersection of East Main Street and Searchlight Avenue just before 7:30 p.m. when he was fatally struck by an unidentified vehicle. Madrid was rushed from the scene to a nearby hospital but the injuries proved fatal and he was pronounced dead at the hospital a short while later.
