San Francisco, CA – Tess Rothstein Was Killed in Fatal Bicycle Accident
San Francisco, CA (March 10, 2019) – Police reported that 30-year-old Tess Rothstein was killed in a fatal bicycle accident that took place at 6th and Howard Streets. The accident took place on Friday morning around 8:20 a.m.
At the time, police say that Rothstein was riding her bike in the designated bike lane. Witnesses called into police about a crash involving a woman riding a Ford GoBike rental bicycle, which took place when a white box truck struck her.
The victim was found unresponsive by paramedics in the area of the intersection. Paramedics attempted to save the woman but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck did not sustain any injuries in the accident and stayed at the scene so that he could cooperate with authorities. The identity of the motorist has not yet been released.
Officials continue to investigate the accident at this time.
