San Francisco -Multi-Vehicle Accident on Golden Gate Bridge Injures 1 Person
San Francisco, California (October 22, 2018) – One person was injured in a DUI car accident in San Francisco Friday night, the California Highway Patrol reported. The collision happened at approximately 9:46 p.m. Friday, October 19th, on the Golden Gate Bridge near the north tower. At this time, no detailed information concerning the identity of the injured victim has been revealed.
According to Officials, a car was traveling down the Golden Gate bridge approaching the north tower when, for indeterminate reasons, the vehicle collided with a tow truck. The current physical condition of the victim was not immediately revealed, and the events leading up to the accident have not been established. Police and Firefighters were dispatched to the scene and used the jaw of life to extricate one person who sustained injuries from the impact of the collision. First responders transported the victim to a local hospital to further evaluate the severity of the injuries sustained during impact. Police arrested the driver of the car for suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
As of now, the crash remains under investigation. As more evidence continues to surface, the more information will be released to public sources.
