San Francisco, CA: Pedestrian Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash
San Francisco, California (March 30, 2018): The San Francisco Police Department has opened an active investigation into a hit-and-run pedestrian collision in the Bernal Heights neighborhood of San Francisco on Wednesday morning, March 28, 2018. The victim has not yet been identified and only limited information has been made publicly available while the investigation remains ongoing.
Officials believe the collision occurred just before 8:30 a.m. when a Jeep Liberty veered off the road and struck female pedestrian near the intersection of Bernal Heights Boulevard and Bradford Street. The pedestrian was thrown into nearby shrubbery due to the force of the collision. She reportedly sustained serious injuries and was transported from the scene to a nearby hospital for treatment. The driver of the Jeep did not stop to offer assistance or speak with authorities and quickly fled the scene of the accident. It is believed the suspect remains at large and anyone with information should contact the San Francisco Police Department as soon as possible.
