Southern California Hit and Run Crash
This crash certainly could have been avoided. Not only was this a hit and run but also a speed competition. It goes without saying that a speed competition on the interstate is an incredibly reckless and dangerous driving activity. With little time to react, collisions are nearly inevitable. The only fortunate result is that no one suffered a fatal injury.
When the responsible drivers are located they will face criminal charges. A civil suit by the injured victim is also a legal option. Undoubtedly, negligence in this type of case should be easy to prove. Once negligence is proven, the value of the case will depend on the injuries and damages sustained. This depends on the type of injuries, the number of medical bills, the type of treatment needed and lost wages, if any, incurred by the victim.
