San Diego County, CA: Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 67 in Lakeside
San Diego County, California (February 23, 2018): A two-vehicle crash on Highway 67 in Lakeside early Wednesday afternoon, February 21, 2018, required the hospitalization of at least two victims. Information about the collision is extremely limited at this time.
Authorities believe the vehicles, a gray Toyota and a Cintas box truck, crashed into each other just after 12:00 p.m., though the reason for the collision remains unknown. Emergency crews were swiftly dispatched to the accident scene on Highway 67 at Vigilante Road to assist the victims.
Responding officials reportedly helped extricate an elderly man and woman who had been trapped in one of the vehicles. While the total number of individuals involved in the collision has not been provided, their, least two people were transported to a nearby hospital following the crash. Their injuries have been described as “minor.”
