San Diego County, CA: Motorcyclist Injured in Crash on 15 Freeway
San Diego County, California (February 23, 2018): A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash with a Porsche Panamera on 15 Freeway in Escondido, CA, Wednesday night, February 21, 2018. The victim has been identified as 38-year-old Melvin Montgomery, of Fallbrook, CA.
Montgomery’s motorcycle reportedly collided with the Porsche just after 9:00 p.m., when the vehicle veered into his lane of travel near the 7 Oaks off-ramp on northbound 15 Freeway in Escondido. Montgomery reportedly suffered injuries to his legs and torso and he was transported via ambulance to Palomar Medical Center. No updates on his condition have been provided.
The driver of the Porsche, 31-year-old Nick Ramathon, did not report sustaining any injuries. He remained on the scene to speak with officials and reportedly passed a sobriety test administered on site. Multiple lanes on northbound 15 Freeway were closed as crews spent nearly two hours clearing and investigating the scene.
