San Diego, CA – 31-Year-Old Man Killed in I-805 Crash near El Cajon Boulevard in North Park
San Diego, CA (May 6, 2019) – A 31-year-old was killed and three people were injured in a multi-car accident on I-805 near El Cajon Boulevard in North Park. The tragic accident occurred at 12:45 a.m on May 6th.
Reports claim that a GMC box truck rolled over and collided with a white Kia Optima and a black Mercedes sedan for unknown reasons. The 31-year-old driver of the Kia Optima exited their view and was struck by a black Mercedes sedan driven by a 28-year-old man.
The driver of the Kia Optima was killed from the impact, while the drivers of the GMC box truck and the Mercedes sedan, including a 29-year-old woman, were sustained non-life threatening injuries. All injured parties were taken to Scripps Mercy Hospital in Hillcrest.
CHP has stated that drugs and alcohol were not factors in the tragic accident. The crash is currently under investigation by authorities.
