San Bernardino Pedestrian Accident
Our sincerest thoughts, prayers, and condolences are with the family of Charles Jackson III during this difficult time, as we understand that pedestrian accidents can be life-changing and traumatic. Many people lose their lives in these accidents every year despite the precautions we take to ensure that they do not happen.
When a pedestrian accident does take place, one of the first things that is looked at is whether or not the driver was acting in a negligent fashion when it took place. Drivers are required by law to slow down when pedestrians are nearby, always giving them the right-of-way when it is possible. If the defendant was driving in a negligent manner around pedestrians, they could be held liable in this accident case.
The family of a loved one can bring a claim for compensation that they deserve following one of these serious accidents in what is known as a wrongful death claim. If the family can prove that the other party acted negligently, they can recover damages on behalf of their loved one for aspects like medical bills, lost income, funeral costs, and more.
