San Bernardino, CA – Fatal Hit-and-Run Accident Takes Teen’s Life
San Bernardino, CA (September 29, 2018) – A fatal hit-and-run accident took the life of a teenage pedestrian in the area of Pacific Street and Glasgow Avenue on Friday. The victim was identified as 14-year-old Jade Maldonado.
The 14-year-old girl has been traveling to the Pacific High School at the time of the accident. She was walking near the intersection of Glasgow and Pacific Street when the vehicle suddenly struck her. Police say that Maldonado was in a marked crosswalk at the time of the accident.
The driver was traveling around 50 mph at the time. The motorist also did not stop to render aid at the scene of the accident.
Maldonado was quickly rushed to the Loma Linda University Medical Center and underwent surgery, but sadly died due to her injuries.
Police are still searching for the driver of the suspect vehicle.
