San Bernardino County, CA: Young Child Killed in Fatal Apple Valley Collision
San Bernardino County, California (February 22, 2018): The Apple Valley Sheriff’s Station’s Major Accident Investigation Team has launched a full investigation into a fatal pedestrian accident in Apple Valley on Tuesday afternoon, February 20, 2018.
The pedestrian victim, an unidentified 18-month-old boy, was reportedly hit by the front bumper of an SUV in the driveway of a home located on the 1900 block of Pasco Road. Authorities were alerted to the accident just after 1:30 p.m. and an emergency response team was swiftly dispatched to the scene. The young child was in full cardiac arrest when emergency responders arrived and he was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center to receive immediate assistance. He was tragically pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
