San Bernardino County, CA: Fatal Rear-End Collision in Chino
San Bernardino County, California (March 29, 2018): A local resident of Perris, CA, was tragically killed in a fatal rear-end collision in Chino, CA on Saturday evening, March 24, 2018. The victim has been identified as 31-year-old Ashley Sharade Morales, of Perris, CA.
Morales was sitting in the driver’s seat of her disabled vehicle, which was stopped along the shoulder of the eastbound lanes of 60 Freeway, when, just after 7:30 p.m., her vehicle was rear-ended by an unidentified vehicle that had veered onto the shoulder while traveling in the No. 4 lane of the highway. Morales was transported from the scene to Chino Valley Medical Center and was pronounced dead while undergoing emergency room treatment. No information about the driver of the other vehicle has been provided. The Rancho Cucamonga California Highway Patrol is overseeing an active and ongoing investigation into the incident and no additional details have been made available.
