Salinas, CA – One Person Seriously Injured in Bicycle Accident
Salinas, CA (October 16, 2018) – In Salinas, a bicyclist was seriously injured in a bicycle accident that took place at Laurel Drive and Highway 101 on Monday afternoon, October 15. The California Highway Patrol responded to the accident around 5 p.m. near Adams Street.
Police originally responded to the call when they heard that a bicyclist had been struck by a vehicle for reasons that were not known. The car involved was identified as a white Toyota 4Runner.
Fire department officials responded to the accident and found that the cyclist had major injuries including a serious laceration to the head. The rider was taken to the Natividad Medical Center for treatment. Their name and condition are not known at this time.
Authorities are still investigating the accident at this time.
