Salinas Pedestrian Accident
When drivers are approaching pedestrians or in areas where pedestrians are most likely to roam about, they are always supposed to exercise a standard duty of care to keep these vulnerable parties safe on the roadways. Likewise, pedestrians are supposed to utilize crosswalks and look out for other drivers as best as possible, because the likelihood of pedestrian accidents on California roadways is great.
Police are still investigating this accident but will determine if the driver was responsible for the accident. Though right-of-way laws tend to state that the pedestrian is typically not responsible for an accident, this is not always the case, which is why a thorough investigation takes place to make this determination at this time.
