Sacramento, CA – Five Individuals Injured in DUI Crash
Sacramento, CA (September 17, 2018) – An accident in Sacramento left five individuals injured when a drunk driver struck four vehicles. The accident stemmed from a police chase.
The accident took place in the area of Florin and Power Inn Roads on Sunday, September 16, around 5:30 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said that a patrol car was chasing after a pickup truck at the time going about 70 mph. The suspect was a 22-year-old man who fled and ran a red light into the intersection. This is when he struck four other vehicles when he had been driving drunk.
One of the vehicles, a Ford Mustang, ran into the median and then a ditch. Firefighters and paramedics rushed to the scene and attended to five people, including three adults and two young girls. All of these parties received various injuries.
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of DUI following the accident.
