Sacramento, CA – Fatal Pedestrian Accident Leads to Death of One Party
Sacramento, CA (August 28, 2018) – One woman was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident that took place on Highway 99. The woman who was struck was identified as Gianna Carter.
Police said the 52-year-old was struck and killed by two vehicles early this morning around 3:30 a.m. The accident took place at the Martin Luther King Boulevard.
Carter was apparently running on the highway when one vehicle struck her and sent her flying into a different lane. This is where she was immediately struck by the second car.
Carter allegedly died at the scene of the accident. Both drivers stopped at the scene and worked with investigators.
Authorities worked at the scene while three left lanes remained closed. The crash is still being investigated at this time.
