Sacramento County, CA: Fatal Motorcycle Collision in North Highlands

Sacramento County, California (March 27, 2018): A motorcyclist was killed in a fatal collision with an SUV in North Highlands, CA, late Sunday afternoon, March 25, 2018. The California Highway Patrol is conducting an active and ongoing investigation into the crash and only limited details have been made publicly available.

Officials believe the accident happened just before 5:00 p.m. when a motorcycle traveling south on Watt Avenue was hit by a northbound SUV that was making a left turn into the Ross Shopping Center on Elkhorn Boulevard. The motorcyclist, who has not been identified, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the SUV, who has also not been identified, was reportedly arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. No additional information has been provided at this time.
